Casanova was imported from the UK when he was two years old. He stood at stud at Glenhaven farm in Virginia until the age of six. We purchased Casanova and one of his daughters at that time. During his time in Virginia he was crossed with Section A mares, but also quite a few TB and warmblood mares. Those foals are now competing successfully in the hunter world.
Standing at 11.3 hands, Casanova is a black bay or seal brown, two terms that both mean a very, very dark bay. He has wonderful Welsh movement which he definitely passes to his progeny. Casanova has sired quite a few Section A foals for us here at The Willows, many of which were through our Design-A-Foal program. We also get a few outside mares brought to him each year. In addition to great movement, Casanova foals typically also have beautiful heads, good, dense bone, and friendly temperaments.
He was sired by Tillybo Merlyn who competed successfully in the UK. And out of Collyiers Cotton Socks.
Casanova is available via live cover at this time. His stud fee is $600. He is also available through our Design-A-Foal program. You can find more information on the Design-A-Foal page.
